Of course, you could probably model for teen magazines. They aren't as strict about height. Don't lose hope, remember, Ms. America is only 5'5!

Yeah it is possible. But I'm not sure if you're a teen or an adult. If you're under 18, you have a higher chance of making it, then if you were 18 or over [Only because they prefer 5'7 or higher]. Try signing up for a modeling agency like FORD, IMG, Elite, etc. All you need is to take a couple of photos of yourself- headshots, bodyshots, etc. Today's modeling world, scouts and other fashion-people look for the NEW face. (It's not just about the pretty face) They want a unique, fresh, model that just came out of nowhere.

Even on a question like this people are insensitive and negative. I didn't think that was possible. My friend is a high-fashion photographer in the westers states area. If you would like to talk to her, then I wouldn't have anything against that. Your height doesn't matter unless you want to go to the mainstream modeling. My friend sells tons of pictures to magazines, billboards, and tv. It is really neat. Don't let others discourage you. If you really want it, you will have it!!!

seriously, i have the same problem! but i think you can do ads for magazines and such. Maybe not couture or high fashion ads, cuz you have to be really tall for that, but for other stuff..yeah, especially when they don't shoot the whole body. Try contacting modeling schools first, not agencies, cuz they're harsh, then ask them for new oppurtunities. But you gotta charm them with your personality and face, cuz you're at a height disadvantage! Good Luck!
ps try Abercrombie and Fitch, your face would be enough for that, and you look like one too :)

The height for a professional model is 5'8" tall.
You may be able to model in the city where you live as they may not require the height guidelines as the professional modeling agencies in New York City.

Yes you can! Talk to modeling agencies about how to be a model. Not the places that promise you a modeling career. Ask them what you should do to prepare for a career in modeling.

See this website: http://www.newmodels.com/
Both runway and catalog models are quite tall. The runway models might be a bit taller, but not by much. I think you need to be at least 5'8" (MINIMUM) to do either kind of work.
