i had to deal with the same thing when i was your age, thank god i only grew a few more inches. plus i always had people make fun of my feet, i wear a size 10, sometimes 11, it was really embarrassing. but to hell with them. i mean, you have a big advantage of them midgits. you can look hella cute in tall boots and skinny jeans, and could be a model when you get older. i mean hello, you have to be at least 5'9' to be a super model, so how can they make fun of you? the most beautiful women in the world are super tall!!!!!! also, did you ever think of going out for basketball? that would put a possitive aspect on your height, people would be jealous because of your awsome b-ball skills. well anywho, dont worry about them, own your height!!

When I was your age and in the eigth grade, I'd hear the same kind of things about being so short, especially since I was a guy. Only God knows how I hated it and Him, for making me so ******* short. At least you don't have kids coming up to you in the fourth or fifth grade and exclaiming that they're as tall or taller than you and they're only in this grade or that grade. Yea, it got to me and has definitely impacted my life and how I look at myself and others.

But darling, I do see a "silver lining" to your dilemna. First of all, I think girls are almost done growing by the time they reach eigth or ninth grade. Secondly, 5' 9" is just about an average height nowadays for American women. Finally, you are certainly not so overwhelmingly tall that there will be any shortage of guys wanting to ask you out.
As to what you can say to these irritating imbeciles, maybe try giving it right back to them with the reverse kind of stuff, like: "OMG you're so short" or "I feel so tall."

Better yet, if you can just hang on for another year, I think you'll find that by the time you get into high school, that there will be plenty of girls 5' 9'' or taller. Therefore, it really won't even matter anymore.

Anyway, hang in there. This too shall pass.

Consider your height a blessing, not a curse. You can see over everybody's head. You can reach high shelves. Think of all the advantages you have...and how many times others ask you to do something because of your height. In other words, consider focusing on the positive aspects of height rather than the negative. As for the people who make comments, you can't stop the comments. But you can consider that they are coming form those who don't understand you. If you understand you, acknowledge that you are truly the greatest person you know, and that you are truly unique...then those who comment are simply displaying hteir ignorance of your treamendous qualities. I think you're great.

Don't let it get to you, or rather, don't let them annoying you become a weapon that they can use against you. Some people are just really immature; school especially has become too much a social club, and they wouldn't get away with being rude (or borderline rude, anyways) in a professional atmosphere like a job.

You aren't really going to shrink, so you may as well get on with your life. Focus on your studies, activities, and hobbies. Them pointing that you're tall is like pointing out you're a GIRL. :-p

Just stand tall with good posture and make the most of you gift. ;-)

If you hear it from the same people every day....Gosh...tell them if they can't think of anything else to talk to you about then don't talk to you.

My husband is 6'5 and every time someone mentions his height he just smiles. I am sure he has heard this since 8th grade, too. I think if you make any comment at all it will just open you up for more conversation on the subject. But if it's the same people just blast them with things like "thats original" "Didn't you same the same thing yestarday ; or two hours ago" Or how about "your so lame"

in reality, they are not making fun of you. They are jealous because your so much taller than them. Height is a very powerful thing. By being as tall as you are, you'll be better at sports, and in the business world, you actually will be more likely to get hired because of your height.

trust me, I know its annoying, as I still remember 8 grade quite well (I'm in 12th grade now). The best you can really do is just annoy them. Or if you want a comeback just say "is it that I'm tall, or are you just damn short".
