I am going to be singing in a talent contest on January 9th. But,I do not know what to sing. I need ideas of a good country song that would impress judges.
I also need to know how to prepare.
If you can help,I would REALLY really appreciate it.

I know! go on the website imeem.com. Then go on the search button and search for any songs. I would highly recommend the song papercut skin. It is the best song.

Appearance COUNTS. Dress nice and modest. Jeans & silk blouse. would be appropriate.

Lyrics... Make sure you KNOW ALL the words.

Look at and SMILE at the Judges while you are singing.

I'm not really into country but>>>

How About...

Loretta Lynn's---Coal miner's daughter

Patsy Cline's----Crazy

Just a word of advice...Do not pick songs like , I think it's called
Redneck Girls by Gretchen Wilson ... or simular ones that repeatedly use curse words. Not very lady like. And not likely to impress the judges.

TAKE DEEP BREATHS, SMILE, And COMMAND THE STAGE

GOOD LUCK.

A good country song? A really sweet song to sing is 'You're Still the One' by Shania Twain. It's soft, slow, and beautiful. And prepare by practicing it every single day.
If you're into faster songs, Shania Twain has a hit called 'Man! I feel like a woman'. It's fun, enertaining, and a crowd-attractor!
Good luck!

The best advice i can give is to pick a song that fits your voice - one that you can sing the loudest while hitting the notes without effort.

Try mixing country songs together to get an award. Judges love unique talent. (ex. "Country roads, take me home, to sweet home alabama) Make sure it makes sense and they're real songs that you mix together. I've used this method before.
