I am polynesian born in the south Pacific Islands and raised here in the states. I am proud to be Samoan & Tongan, and im very much completely proud of my Samoan side, I love my culture's, i love the beautiful islands, i also love all my family & close friends very much! But i hate Tongan people outside my circle of trust like my family & friends. I have live outside of the Tongan community but i have to see them when visiting my grams. They are nothing but haters against one another and most of the woman are sh*t starters & drama queens. Most of the men all perverts and peices of sh*t. I married outside my culture because i did not want to be some how drawn to my own kind. Am i a racist against my own kind? Is it normal to feel you hate ur own people?

I had a friend who was Hispanic, she told me she was embarrassed of her race because most of them were poor and lived in substandard conditions, she grew up in middle class America and was never exposed to the lifestyles of most immigrants from Mexico until she married her husband, who couldn't speak hardly any English. I tried to explain to her, to make her feel better, that every culture has it's 'poor'. She was convinced hers was the poorest.
It is not the whole Tongan race, maybe just a few from your family, maybe that is why your family took you away from there, they didn't want you around negative family members.
I am going to refer to the saying 'white trash', that's what us white people call others who in our race are druggies, thieves etc. In every race there is 'trash'.

Mate, it's entirely up to you to hate the perverts and drama queens of your culture, I wouldn't class that as racist as you are proud of you're ethnicity. Good onya for being selective and choosing what is right for you regardless of race!

Yes you are racist against your own kind because you hate them because they are Tongan. It may not be normal, but I dislike black people, but I'm not black, I am African American. It's a long story and I don't feel like going into it.
