Yes - it's sometimes done during eye operations.

Weeeeiiiirrd question!!

If you mean popping the actual eye ball out but not cutting off any of the cords or whatever then definitely yes. When my mum was younger she somehow managed to get a tiny shard of plastic in her eye and so she had to go to this specialist eye hospital in London so that they could pop her eye out to remove the plastic. It was simple as that.

Though you probably can reattach an eye no matter what, I mean they do it with toes/fingers so I don't see why not with eyes.

Are you in the mafia? Probably wouldn't admit it anyway. Do you believe in the saying an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth? Also once extracted a tooth cannot be put back in place

Yeah, lets forget the eye is held by FIVE muscles to control movement, plus the optic nerve at the back!

According to "The Pedant's Revolt" by Andrea Barham, the answer is a resounding NO. If you stretched the optic nerve that much, it would damage it permanently.

yes it is a standard practise in certain operations on the eye and surprisingly there have been people who have actually been able to do this to themselves (fortunately ive not been at a party when this has been done as a party trick!!)

Yes, although I won't be rushing to try it myself. Apparantly it doesn't matter if it lolls about on the floor for a bit - they just wash it and shove it back in - so long as the retina doesn't detatch.
