It does sound like old menstrual blood. If you had your cycle recently the blood can sometimes start again a few days after the period has ended. This is just the remainder of your uterine lining that did not come out during the period. Just wear a panty liner for a few days after the period to make sure it is finished. This also can happen before your period too. It is called premenstrual shedding. So just wear a panty liner a few days before your period starts.
If the discharge is yellow or green like mucus and has a fishy or dead odor, then that is an infection and must be treated. But what you are describing sounds like "old blood" or premenstrual shedding.

Sounds like just some old blood. A lot of women pass brownish discharge from time to time. Not to worry unless there is a bad smell or if it continues for more than a day, then tell your parents. Nothing is 'wrong' with you, all just normal woman stuff.

there is a 50% chance that it is your period.Sometimes it comes early, and you seem like you might be young and have not had your period for long therefore it might not be on a regulare schedual yet. If ur concerend talk to your family doctor about it...or speak with your mom...i knwo it might be embarrassing to go to your mom bout such things but she needs to know because 1)it might become more serious
2)shes your mother and even if you dnt realize it right now she loves you and she will in the future be your best friend.
IF YOU DONT WANT TO TALK TO A DOC OR PARENT GO TO YOUR SCHOOL NURSE...YOU NEED TO KNOW WHATS UP, AND THINGS LIKE THIS ISNT SOMETHING TO PLAY
WITH! good luck sweetie

umm i dont mean to like argue with u but maybe that is ur period coming early or late. some times periods do start out like that happend to me once . if not i dont think there is any thing wrong with at all . i dont mean to be gross or anything but as long as the discharge is not green or it smells kinda of weird (u dont have to accully smell it u will know) than there is nothing wrong but if it does i would tell some one u may have an enfection

It is probably still discharge from your uterus, like your period is. If it's not the right time for your period, it could be from ovulating, which is kind of in the middle of your cycle. Remember, dried blood can look brown or black.

Talk to your mom or feel free to e-mail me.

I dont know exactly what that is, but I have that same type of discharge right after my period. If it happens directly before or after your period......I wouldn't worry about it, but if it happens some other time in the month......then I would suggest a doctors visit.

Could just be some left over blood from your period. When did you last have one? If it doesn't go away I would have to advise telling your parents so they can take you to a doctor. Good luck

Honestly, it could be a number of things..however if you are burning when u pee, then it could be a uti, or yeast infection...it sounds like old blood passing...sometimes our bodies dont get everything out and it takes some time..relax

Actually, it is your period. It's normal. My doctor told me it was "older" blood. I first experienced it with a miscarriage but it happens occassionally since then. Nothing to be concerned about.
