I grew up with this guy but this year he has a girlfriend. I dont want her to feel like im stepping on "her toes" or intruding in their relationship but we have a good relationship and I would really like to get him something. So any ideas out there for a good "friend gift"? It need to be creative or home made some thing along those lines- he is pretty creative him self so I have a lot to live up to! Any ideas would be helpful because that day is coming soon!

You could give him this:

Add a few pictures of you and him together, but leave enough room for him to add some of his new girlfriend.

Hope this helps.

Okay I did this for my best male friend and he was blown away.
You will require a really good artist for this one and it he will need at least a week or two to have it drawn.

See if you can get a really excellent photograph of him and then find out what his first love is.
Is it a car he would love or has? or a sport he enjoys playing.
Either of those two.
Now take the photograph and a picture of his favourite sport or car and have the Artist draw the picture with either the Sport or Car in the background or standing next too - or playing the sport.

Have it done Charcol - / Background should be cream or off white to bring out the drawing. It is special paper the Artists uses so it's will last a life time. when the artist is finished it should be covered with a substances that gives that long lasting and glow
effect.
Depending how much you wish to spend, it's around $200 for the finish product.
Thats how much I spent on a really good friend. It was worth it just to see the look on his face.
He loves Cars (Cougars) So thats what I had in the background.
Yes he does have a girlfriend and yes we are friends as well. I am married now and we get along like a house on fire.

I also had it framed in a beautiful black frame and that really hit the mark. (he got a little teary). Great picy for a great friend
Hope that helps

As a friend I have I created a photograph book from the time we met til she passed away at 32yrs old. Pictures tell a 1000 words, make as though u started at the beginning of your meeting until this moment including pictures of her with u guys. I feel he would be honored by this and she won't think u are getting in the way. I got a black leather photograph book and had it engraved with Jane Doe, underneath a dear friend that has been and walked thru life with me. And it is very special and not sissy. It is genuine about how u guys feel for your friendship and your including her right at the end. I would do it man go for it he will appreciate it.

Cant u do him something 4 the home that the 2 of them can enjoy as if it's a personal gift she may be suspicious that u fancy him or are trying 2 come between them.
Maybe a nice painting or something.

Allso as others have said a scrapbook right up2 d8 including her at the end is a fab idea

How about a scrapbook or PowerPoint slildeshow of a bunch of cute, funny pictures of the two of you growing up? Towards the end, as you get to the age you are now in the photos, include a photo of him with his girlfriend if you have one, so she won't be resentful or suspicious of the gift, and also so she feels included in his life.

Make him a book with pictures and memories the two of you have had. Have a binder with little chapters or something if you have pictures of the two of you growing up (example: chapter 1-age 5, chapter 2- age 6) something like that. Also include things you two loved doing as kids like video games or something.

What about something fun or a bit childish.

A handmade puppet by a famous Chinese artist.
