I went into this movie knowing that it wouldn't compare to the original. Also, the actors. However, I was expecting more structure and better acting than I've seen so far. Obviously Kevin Spacey is awesome. I'm into about the first 45 minutes. It sucks. Kate Bonsworth sucks, she has no personality and didn't derserve the role of Lois. I'm not feeling anything inpactful yet. Does it get any better, or is it just as dead throughout the entire movie?

I agree.

The casting wasn't very good. There was no chemistry between Clark and Lois, and the only chemistry between Superman and Lois seemed to be having him stand there and her look at him adoringly.

This was supposed to be five years after Superman left earth. When Superman met Lois, she was already an established reporter. That puts her in her mid 20s when they met. Superman was there for a few years and then went away for five years. That means Lois should be in her mid 30s. Kate Bosworth was 20 during principal filming, and looked 12. I just couldn't buy her as Lois Lane.

It is pretty much like that the entire movie. I was really disappointed with this movie. The plot doesn't entirely make a lot of sense either, especially with Lois having a kid. And the guy that plays Superman, okay he is hot, but isn't a great Superman. He just doesn't have that charisma that Christopher Reeve brought to the role.

I felt the exact same way about those horrible X-men movies.

They are NOTHING like the characters I grew up reading about. And they basically stole Chris Claremont's stories (he created and wrote some of the greatest X stories: Dark Phoenix Saga, Days of Future Past, the Brood Saga, etc), and the movie completely bastardized his Dark Phoenix storyline.

I wouldn't even call them the X-Men. They are an alternate version of the True X-Men from another parallel dimension, from another timeline.

well maybe its because I'm not a huge superman fan... but I didn't like it much either, I saw it in the theater and was bored about an hour into it. Kevin Spacey was pretty good but other than that, I honestly didn't find it that good of a movie. I'm sure that a lot of people loved it... but remember... a lot of people voted for Hitler

yeah i have the movie...i liked it the first time i saw it. but thinking back now that ive had time to reflect its no where near as good or worthy of the superman movies, or any of the tv shows. and barely has any actions. most people ive talked to doesnt like it because it has to much drama in it.
