I can go straight up and down, and turn, but can't figure out how to just drive forward and take off normally. I am using a keyboard and mouse, by the way. I wasn't watching during the tutorial, and now I can't do anything. The game guide doesn't tell, the only instruction for vehicle is "acceleration-w" which actually makes the plane go up and down.

well on my PS2 just give it Gas and when it gets so Fast it goes airborne. Be sure to give yourself plenty of space to speed up!!

the up key makes the plane face the ground, and the down key does the opposite. left and right just change camera.
