Try right-clicking on your taskbar where the start menu button and clock is. Right click in a area that's completely blank meaning not on any buttons or minimized buttons and just a blank space on the task bar and then click Show The Desktop. Note usually the blank space you want to right click in is in the area where all your minimized stuff is in between your quick launch buttons and your clock. Hope this helps.

You can do that from the quick launch bat that you have next to the start menu.. there is a desktop icon just press it and everything will be minimized.. and if you don't have that .. you can get it from right click on the task bar... and then toolbars.. and then quick launch

I'm not sure if there is one, but ctrl+alt+esc will minimize an open screen and if you press it again it will open your start menu, I know that wasn't exactly your question, but I thought you might find this helpful

I don't know if there's a key, but you can right-click the task bar and just choose show desktop.
