A family photo in a nice frame, a hat, something that will remind him of the past (in a good way), a funny shirt, a pair of slippers, a massager, a coffe mug.

Spending time with him at dinner or something fun with the family all together. Money isn't a person will want, my mom used to say that LOL

Spend a day with him. Just the 2 of you. Your time with him is probably the one thing he can always use more of.

one year, i dug thru an old photo album and found a black and white photo of my papaw and his brothers on the farm... his brothers are all gone now, except one... i had it blown up to an 8 x 10 and framed it... he really liked it... he keeps it in his room on a little table... it's really sentimental to him...
