Hello everyone. Me and my fiance found out we are pregnant today. She has had past problems with her period that have caused her to have irregular periods(thought she had a cyst on ovary..turned out inconclusive) and she had to get on birth control to regulate her period. I was wondering if it is possible to test positive on urine test due to a cyst or other problem with ovaries, etc. I dont want us to get our hopes up. I am fine whether she is or isn't pregnant but I was wanting to know more about the possibilities of testing positive due to problems(chemical pregnancy) and how common is it for a woman to have all of the symptoms and test positive but turn out to be a false pregnancy. Thanks everyone. Just looking for some good information.

Guess my main question is could her problems lead to a false pregnancy? and how common is a false pregnancy?

Her ovaries, irregularities and cysts wont cause a false positive.

A chemical pregnancy will though, this is when the embryo isnt viable and for whatever reason the body aborts the pregnancy before it gets rolling.

The hormones raise for pregnancy, the body aborts that mission, and the hormones begin to fall again.

When she needs to do it take her test to the doctors, and have blood work done.

They will check her hormone levels, and if theyre low, they will have her come back in a week or two to test again and make sure theyre rising and not falling.

Also, she can wait a week and test again, if its still positive then its unlikely that reading will change. But blood work it better :)

If the test came back positive then she's pregnant. A chemical pregnancy occurs when the body aborts the baby. A cyst shouldn't cause the test to give you a false positive. Congrats!

There is such a thing as a false positive the best thing to do is go to the doctor for blood test to find out if she is pregnant and it is very common for this to happen more than you think if she is and you both want it congrats

you would be pregnant. whether many women folk people have some bleeding/recognizing in early being pregnant, it is not a real era and could on no account be seen primary. it must be no longer something extreme, yet comprehend that bleeding is likewise an early indicator of miscarriage or ectopic being pregnant. In later being pregnant, it ought to signify your placenta is placing apart from the uterus…that's undesirable! you may checklist this on your surgeon or midwife just to be risk-free. stable luck!
