given the following balanced equation;
C3H8+5O2=3CO2+4H2O
how many grams of H2O will be produced when 80 grams of O2 reatswith excess C3H8?

Use dimensional analysis to solve this:

80g O2 x (1mol O2 / 32g O2) x (4mol H2O / 5mol O2) x (18 g H2O / 1 mol H2O) = 36 g H2O

Multiply the top numbers together and divide by the bottom numbers. Notice every unit cancels out (top and bottom) with the exception of g of H2O. That way you can tell you have the right units. Good luck with chemistry!
