As a kid my mom used to leave cookies for santa, gum drop cookies for the reindeer, and cheese for santa mouse. I talked to my partner about doing that this year for the kids and they had never heard of it. Was I the only lucky child to participate?

I used to do that all the time! LOL I thought I was the only one. Anyway I used to leave cookies for santa and a veggie for the reindeer like a carrot or something

Well, we didn't leave anything for Santa Mouse, but we did leave milk and cookies for Santa, and carrots for his reindeer. (Although the reindeer probably weren't as excited about the carrots as they were the gum drop cookies.)

We put out cookies and milk (or eggnog) for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. The kids get a kick out of the nibbled on carrot sticks.

We used to leave carrots for the reindeer, mince pie/cookies and a glass of milk or brandy for santa (the drink depended on how dad was feeling that eve i guess.....stressed=brandy unsressed=milk lol)
Funny tho, cos the reindeer would leave human teeth marks in the carrot

we leave out oatmeal with cookie sprinkle things in it for the reindeer. the kids sprinkle it outside for the reindeer to eat while santa is busy

We always left cookies and milk for Santa--AND carrots and sliced apples for his reindeer!! Hubby told my son if he didn't leave anything for the reindeer he'd get "reindeer poop" in his stocking!!

well, my children leave oatmeal (dried) for the reindeer, egg nog and cookies for santa... they sprinkle the oatmeal in front of the house or they put the oatmeal (dried) in a bowl.. I use to do the same when i was a child..

We left carrots and oats for the reindeer. In the morning, the carrots always had bites taken out of them and the oats were spilled on the porch (because they were "messy eaters" according to my mom).

Yeah we had a bag of reindeer food that we pulled out of the cupboard once a year and then when we were asleep my dad would sneak down stairs and eat it.
