OK, now I understand what you're asking, but I think you're barking up the wrong tree. That is, I agree that the phrase "acoustic metal" is an oxymoron. If you want aggressive, angry-ish acoustic songs, check these out instead:
Rusted Root: Ecstasy
Brian Sofer: Fuzzy Ray
Damien Rice: Volcano
Yonder Mountain String Band: "On the Run" or "Peace of Mind."
Also, check out Jerry Joseph's solo acoustic stuff. He attacks the acoustic guitar with a fervor reminiscent of Dimebag Daryl. Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons is a great band, but Jerry's better by himself IMO.
I'll try to think of some more...

Nirvana put out an acoustic cd... most of the songs are really mellow but Where did you sleep last night, picked up and got a little bit of an edge to it towards the middle... he even screamed a little bit.

Personally, I think that's an oxymoron...
Acoustic metal?!
Well... I think "Through Glass" by Stone Sour... would KINDA fit under that category...
