Factors Of 234

2017-01-09 19:07:25 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Since it's even. one such factor is 2, leaving 117. Proof by nines [sum of the digits is a multiple of 9] shows that 9 is a factor, leaving 13, which is prime. So the complete factorization is 2 x 3 x 3 x 13.

Just divide by 2 then 3 then 4 etc.. You get 2 and 117. 3 and 78 etc

{1,234},{2,117},{3,78},{6,39},{9,26},{13,18}

You can stop when the number you divide by becomes bigger than the number u get.
