If you are talking about football, specifically the World Cup qualifier v England and (to a lesser extent) the more recent Euro qualifier v Spain, then get over it! Enjoy the moment by all means, but life goes on. In the grand scheme of things it means little. Even in sporting terms, what does it mean now? Ultimately, England were beaten in a Quarter final penalty shoot-out as usual, and Northern Ireland didn't qualify, again as usual.
Remember 2001? England beat Germany 5-1 in Munich and it was hailed as England's finest moment since 1966. Suddenly, Germany were in the World Cup final and England were at home, having long since been knocked out (yes, you guessed), on penalties in the Quarter finals!
(PS: Hint; I'm not Spanish).

I have little opinion on this. I did not watch it. I think Spain and England are usually stronger teams so I guess it is slightly amazing, perhaps moderately amazing to those who are easily amazed.
Anyway that is how amazing I think Northern Ireland beating England and Spain is. I am from the UK.

since we are talking about results this century(GERBIL) IT HAS BEEN A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT. Why do you refer to the 60's ?if you like i can tell you about the 1982 world cup finals were we beat spain on their home soil. for fecks sake leave the ghost of a home soil victory after extra time with a disputed goal TO REST.
fact:population of england 57million
population of NORTHERN IRELAND 1.5 million
fact NORTHERN IRELAND 1-0 england
now if you can not give us credit for that result get out of football
WE NOT BRAZIL WE'RE NORN IRON
