buy him some cheaper washing up liquid. he must be wasting the Fairy!!! Remember a little squirt will do it, start flirting with the next door neighbour ( only if he is nice ) other wise move near to me !! I have a dish washer . LOL Only joking If you cant do it properly then you might not be asked again.(Husbands attitude) but then maybe yes just come and see me. still only joking. God we cant all be perfect. If that's all that bugs you take good care of him he could be out sowing wild oats.

It's not petty, but you should be glad that he does do dishes. There are people out there who have never been introduced to hand-washing anything but themselves, and opening the dishwasher is like opening the gate to Hell in Poultergeist. But doing dishes wrong and the chance that soap will end up in your food is no good, either. But be nice about it. Don't say, "Hey, dumbo, you left soap on the plates and that's gonna end up in our food, ya know!" Say something like, "Hon, when you do the dishes, this kind of soap needs to be rinsed off longer." And show him. 'Nuff said.

I always like to drip dry my dishes - less work than drying them with a towel, and more hygenic, too. However, soap is bad to leave on dishes, because you don't want to eat it with your food later. Ask him to rinse the dishes. I think many men don't get the concept of rinsing the dishes. LOL But if you explain what you mean by rinsing they are OK to adopt this idea.

Wow. I have never heard of anyone who doesn't rinse their dishes before putting them in the drainer. Between the soap taste and the soap scum?? I don't think you're complaint is petty at all.

Well I'm a man and I certainly don't. After the wash they are rinsed under the hot tap. Yes I know it's wasteful but it it leaves the pots gleaming.

Just show him and ask him if he would care to cook and eat of the dishes that still have soap on them, of course if he cooked he may prefer the taste to hide the food flavor unless he is a good cook.

I wash them and then rinse them and then put them in the dishwasher to drip dry. When the dishwasher is full, my wife can put twice as many things in there so I let her repack the darn thing. I get hassled but it's fun and we don't have those yellow water glasses like my sister-in-law.

well leaving them to drip dry is actually the cleanest and most hygenic way to dry them. although rinsing them under the tap would be a better way than leaving them with suds on. so dont be too hard on him, at least he does them lol
