It just seems to be an excuse to shove feminism down the throats of unsuspecting youth. If you are a guy they will teach you to hate yourself, and if you are a woman, they will teach you to think men are dumb. Its a stupid subject and its totally unfair! Where is the equality ladies?

It's fairly worthless as far as degrees go. DV clinics seem to desire women with a background in it (instead of social work for some odd reason). Also, if you get an "advanced" degree in womyn's studies (yes, they actually do exist), you're qualified to teach it.

Outside of that, it makes a good object to hang on the wall so you can stare at it nice and hard before going to your job as McDonald's.

The purpose is to inform everyone that a woman is more than what the simple man portrays us to be....someone who sits home and must be barefoot and pregnant. We are of substance and are capable of accomplishing feats and goals just like a man can.

Funny, I have never seen a course on "men's studies. Do they exist? Seriously, do they?

I think it is to prepare people for teaching at woman's colleges, or any other career that would be all-women....are there any?
