Statistics show that 40% of people have bee unfaithful sometime during their marriage. And the percentages are almost identical for men and women, so no one gender is more "moral" than the other.

Yes, and it is the worst mistake of my entire life. I wish I never allowed myself to have been so weak, not so much becuase I hurt my significant other, but because I really hurt myself.
Being unfaithful brings out the worst qualities in a person. The lying, sneaking around, guilt, depression, anxiety, and paranoia...all those negative emotions never go away.

Almost. Before feelings got too deep, I told my friend that we should stop communicating with each other. It has been 4 years, and we've left each other alone successfully. Sadly, I had to lose a friend in the process. I miss the friend, but I don't ever miss the possibility of having an affair with him.

Well, I cheated on my ex because he cheated on me constantly and hit me daily. I cheated on him the day BEFORE I broke up with him so he'd know how it felt. I knew he'd find out about it. Now, I'm married to a wonderful man who is in Iraq and I have not and will not ever stray on him. He's wonderful. The ones that do cheat on our guys over there... I don't see how they can stand to breathe. They don't deserve to.
