its a ti-84 + silver edition it asked me if i wanted it to collect garabbage, but now its been 3 days and it says collecting garabbage

Try pressing the reset key in back. It will wipe out all your saved data, but it will fix it. If that doesn't work, try holding ON and CLEAR together.

THe first thing I would do it reset the calculator completely. If it is completely non-responsive and doesn't let you use ANY keys, then you could try removing the batteries (ALL of them -- even the backup). Leave them out for 15 minutes or so and replace them.

try repairing the system if it is corrupt, but first go to a place where they repair calculators and ask for asdvise.
