For a circle, a = pi*r².
For a half circle, it is half that.
a = 0.5*pi*(50/2)²
a = 981.75m²

Recall that the formula for a (whole) circle is
A = pi * r^2
Since we can get the radius from the diameter (it's half of it),
r = 25
Therefore,
A = pi * (25)^2 = 625pi
Now, this is the area of the WHOLE circle. We want the area of 1/2 of it. So we just cut the area in half
(1/2) A = (1/2) 625pi
(1/2) A = (625pi) / 2

the area of a circle is pi * r^2 where r = 25m (1/2 the diameter)
25^2 = 625 and pi = 3.14159 so a circle with diameter 50m is 78.5398 m
the half circle is half that so your answer is 39.27 m

Consider a full circule with diameter 50m. Its area is pi x r^2 where r is the radius. r = d/2, therefore area of full circle = pi x d^2/4.
Area of full circle in your case is 3.1416 x 50^2 / 4 = 625 x pi
Area of half circle is half of area of full circle. Area of haf circle is 312.5 x pi.

Remember, the formula for the area of a circle is pi times radius squared. So, the radius is 25m, meaning you multiply 25 squared (625) by pi. However, since its a semi-circle, all you need to do is divide the area by half.

Area is pi r^2. The radius is just half the diameter so it sould be
pi (25)^2=1963.5/2=981.7

I'm pretty sure its (1/2 of the diameter)squared times pi
Then divide the entire thing by 2 because it is a half circle
It should be 312.5 pi meters squared

Haven't you already asked this question? There were some good answers showing you how to find the area and pointing out that 25 squared is 625.
