I DON'T NEED DIRECTIONS.

Let me be specific. I want to avoid DC while driving from Richmond to Philly. I've found an alternate route but want an estimate on travel time.

Mapquest has what they call a "multi-stop route builder". You should be able to use it to put in the cities you want to drive through.

g'luck!

Your only bet is to do what seems like you are already doing. Just go to all of the sites and print out the directions. Find the fastest route. The smartest thing to do is to go with the route that you would be most familiar with, and also keep in mind traffic and construction as both can easily change those distance times!

Well you could go to Yahoo Maps. If you just put in the two main cities, it will give you the most direct route. But you could choose a few of the cities on your alternate route then do it in pieces. Start address to City A, City A to City B, City B to End address, then add all the times together.

It's 207 miles, depending on your speed. If you're driving 65 mph then it will take you 3 hours and 20 minutes approximately.

When you put your destination in either of these you can choose to skip highways and stuff. This should help you.
