In response to some of the answers...The Cheney's have been VERY supportive?? Come on, sure compared to other republicans maybe they've been better, but the last election Cheney resisted strongly even acknowledging her, making it out to be some personal issue, like it was off limits even talking about the hypocrisy of the republican party of coming out strongly against gay cause after gay cause and using gay issues to polarize their christian right and their vice president having a gay daughter. How about at the republican convention where his entire family was there except for his gay daughter. I don't know what they are like behind closed doors, maybe Cheney has some warmth and emotion in a desk drawer somewhere for his daughter, but simply by not condemning her, does not transfer as support.

He has always been very supportive of his daughter and has never had anything against gay people, so I don't think anything will change. He'll probably be very excited to have another grandchild.
Also, I would hope it wouldn't be a political issue. His family life should be his and it shouldn't be our business. If I were to run for politics I would hope I could keep that part of my life sheltered, just for my families sake. I guess it's a good thing I'm not running for office.

Well first,Cheney is not his daughter and probably doesnt, tell her what to do,i'm sure that choice was her own, And any good parent would help there child even after bad choices.Lets just hope that her child grows up healthy and strong,Me personally,I hope the Gay movement doesnt get ugly and pervert their doctrine(force it) on her child, otherwise sheep herders and there sheep should have more than normal rights too.(notice the words ("more than normal") the same rights like everybody else nothing special is what everyone should have regardless of sexual preference

The Cheneys have always been supportive of their daughter. It's the KKKonservative KKKhristians who are going apoplectic over this situation.

Why would it? Most leaders will say one thing and do another.
