~~Our first christmas. As my husband opened his present, there it was,,,,the football, all he saw at the moment was the very tip of the football. (he thought it was going to be a signed football) little did he know,,,it was only a plastic football filled with popcorn. I knew he was heartbroken,,years later we joke about how he thought it was going to be a real autographed football.
This year I would love to surprise him with a Dan Marino autographed football. I went on Ebay. Saw some for about $300.00 with certificates. I never bought off of Ebay . Can I trust? and is $300.00 resonable? and I hope I remembered the right player. He said Dan Marino, best ever? Do you think I rememberd the name correctly. I would really love to wow him this year. Could you give me Ebay advice?

Honestly, anyone can sign a football, print a certificate, and put it on EBay. I'm not saying everyone out there will do it, but you have to watch out who you buy from. If you do go the EBay route, check the sellers history and feedback. Most people dealing sports memorabilia will have a good track record.

I just did a quick check, and if you go to NFL.com, find the NFL shop and you could look around there for stuff. They do have a Dan Marino signed football, but it's $500. Here's the link:

If you want something trustworthy, the NFL.com page can't be beat. You could even check www.upperdeck.com, who are big with all things sports memorabilia, but I didn't see any footballs, just signed Marino jerseys for about $800.

Hope this helps.

well i dont have ebay experience but i dont think u can trust ebayers, especially for a ''signed'' jersey. If its really signed by Dan Marino, 300$ is a good price.
