my best friend and i have a band together i play guitar and he sing withour other friends but he got an AMAZING offer from a record company and we come from a small town so this is a once in a lifetime chance but they only want solo artists so the rest of us arent included in the deal his family needs the money but him and i have been friends for 9 years and hes only 18 and he says he doesnt want to leave me behind while he becomes famous i have tried everything and he still wont go i even got the rest of the band to try and help me but he keeps saying he wont leave me behind im only 15 so i cant go what should i do???

Thats a real as$ friend to pass up that chance, only thing you can do is respect what he wants to do. and when it all blows over call him a DUMB AS$ every now and then

Tell him to know and you guys can write it and sign it on paper as a blessed assurance that he will always have a place in your band.

i think you should let him do it. then if he ever needs a band he will know who to choose. or you can see if you can find a company that wants a whole band. :-)

tell him that u can stay in touch and visit him when u can. and that when he gets famous not to forget about u and that he should visit u.
