it is fro help on revising fro sats and i haven't a clue what this is if you know please tell me it will be very greatfull

magnesium reacts with sulphur to create magnesium sulphide MgS and not magnesium sulphate which is MgSO where reacts magnesium with sulphur and oxygen

Magnesium + Sulphur = Magnesium Sulphide
Mg + S = MgS (Chemical symbol form)

it depends...if oxygen is present in the reaction too then it would be Magnesium Sulphate or Magnesium Sulphite. if you eliminate all oxygen in your reaction the it would be Magnesium Sulpide...think it would be one of the first two...

if oxygen takes part in any reaction then the ending will be -ITE or -ATE but if oxygen does not take part in the reaction then the ending will b -IDE.
