A stuffed toy is perfectly ok.
My mrs got me one the first Christmas we spent together. I've still got him. He's a hedgehog.
This'll be our seventh Christmas together.
I'm 41.

Does he already have games like shooting games,Role playing? if you know what kind of games he plays... it would be easy pick. If you see him having any Call of Duty games. i suggest you to pick up the new release ''Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3''. if you see him having any Battlefield game... then i suggest you to get the Battlefield 3 that was released like month ago. It all depends which kind of games he plays. But as you said... if you don't want to get him any game and think he would maybe not like some you get. You should maybe get him Microsoft points to be able to choose something to buy himself or if its not that important to be surprise ... just ask him which game he would want. You can also always choose to get some xbox360 gear as headset, modified controller or anything other. But if its not that big of a deal... just simply as him what he would want :) Surprises are fun but they might not always be the best choice when you don't know what the person wants. One question is that does he have xbox or you were thinking to get him one? Anyways i hope some of these answers helped. Also sorry for rubbish English. Im from Finland so meh :)

In my experience they hate it. My bf always used to moan about the fact that his ex-gf used her last fiver to buy him an I love you Teddy Bear. I pointed out that she was probably trying to tell him how much he meant to her but he thought she was a moron.
He'd have preferred it if she'd used her last fiver to buy them both a drink so they could have spent the time together.
I think guys would like you to get them something that they'd really love - so putting a lot of thought into it is the best you can do. If he's really into gadgets then you're on to a winner already!

if you and your boyfriend are that in love, sure, definately get him a "soppy" present. maybe a favourite photo of you two in a frame? or you could put together a photo album with all your favourite photos together. you can make him a mix cd with all his favourite songs / songs which have meaning to you both.
you could even make a book of vouchers for him to use (ie. a free 20 minute back rub from you, a foot massage etc)
definately buy him something romantic/special. he will love it.

Sorry but got to laugh of how many I guess guys said 3some lol. Ok ok, well guys like electronic and cars(Engines) So if he is one of those guys buy something like that. If he's romantic guy, make him feel very wanted and actor appropriate, or maybe a card expressing your self and you know wt a hot picture might be what he likes it better. But you are the one who knows him so think of what I've said which one represents him.

Just by looking at the previous answers it is easy to see why girls give fellas crappy presents. They have no idea. Lokk at the guys answers. They know what fellas like.
You have been with him, how long, and you still don't know what he likes. Shame on you.
When I give a present to my wife or girlfriend I try to think like them and get what they like. That way I get to keep both happy.

He'd really love something personal. Something that is special to both of you. But don't be too mushy... Maybe make a cd of all of the songs that remind you of him.
