the DS isn't ...BETTER.. than the gba [sp]...

most of the good games are gba games, and therefore, you can play them on your DS

that's actually the reason people say the DS is better.

however, most gba games i play, i don't play them on my DS, i play them on my SP

They're different consoles. The DS is the newer one, capable of playing DS games as well as games from previous Gameboy eras. The GBA, however, cannot play DS games.

The DS also can wirelessly connect to other DSes in the area, or connect over a long distance with WiFi, whereas the GBA requires link cables and does not have WiFi compatibility.

So the GBA may cost less, but it simply can't do as much. The only thing the GBA can do that a DS can't is connect to a Gamecube.

Gameboy Advance does not have a light up screen, cannot fold up for portability, cannot play DS games, but the DS can play Advance games, the DS has better graphics, and the DS has a touchscreen. If you really like the cost of the advance it wont matter.

Well of course it costs less, it's older and it's not the same technology. The DS is revolutionary by means of the touch screen, replay value on DS is much higher than that of the Game Boy Advance.

The Nintendo DS is like the Game Boy Advance, but with two screens, the lower one with touch-screen capabilities. It also has a built-in microphone, four backlighting brightness levels, and wireless internet(you have to pay for Wi-fi).

The Nintendo DS can also play Game Boy Advance games, but not Game Boy Color, or Game Boy mono* games. But the Game Boy Advance can play Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy mono* games.

* The original black and white Game Boy, is sometimes refered to as Game Boy mono.

The Nintendo DS has two screens, a touch screen, and plays DS games, the GBA plays, on only one screen, GBA games.

The games are different, the DS has a touch screen and better graphics. The DS has bigger memory and is generally the better buy. But don't just take my word for it, listen to the arguments:

they both have good and bad qualities. the gba is cheaper, you can play the old gameboy & gameboy color games, and it can link to other gba as well as the gamecube. the ds has a clock & alarm clock, it can only play the ds and gba games, you can play some ds games on wifi, there are 4 chat rooms, and it has a touch screen that isn't as easy to damage as people say being that ive owned one since it came out. so it really depends on whether or not you want to be able to play the older gb games.

Technologically the DS outclasses the advance in every area. It has two screens, a touch screen, a microphone plus it plays advance games anyway.

Unless you wanted to play the original gameboy games or gameboy color games, which you can't play on a DS.

The Nintendo Ds has Wi-Fi,it has two screens, it has better games, it;s newer and as for the price it's actually worth it. Also if you're into playing video games you will eventually want one. So just buy it.
