It bothers me. Christmas is not a muslim thing, why make the big show of having a muslim veiled woman on xmas day? Channel 4 are just trying to push peoples buttons again, thats all.

I certainly wont be watching it, I will be watching the queen and taking the mickey out of her as usual, Im not interested in looking at a black peice of cloth with two eyes poking out on xmas day, thankyou, I get enough of that in The Sun.

pc at it's worst, it'd be ok and even things out only when i see the local vicar preaching to the muslims on their religious fests as well. Wonder what easter will bring. Our local newspaper quoted from the koran on Good Friday in their religious section cos they wanted to appear 'cool'. They could have chosen any other day for another faith's readings but they deliberately snubbed the christians on their day. Those with no faith at all were also very angry for the disregard shown. Back to the channel 4 xmas speech, it just doesnt make sense, unless it's an underhand attempt at eroding more of this country's culture and history.

How about a topless busty woman, with full face veil, giving a speech about Islam at Ramadan, now that could pull in the ratings for channel 4.

I agree with Chancer, and really with the best of what others are saying that point to this as a way the liberal gits are trying to work against mistrust of Muslims.
Personally, I think the majority are probably okay people. My problem isn't with the religion as much as they want to stand out like sore thumbs. Certainly anyone ought to be welcome to live in the UK and all colonies, including America. However, the rest of us ought to be free not to have to sacrifice our freedoms or morals, or faith and traditions to appease them.

Just Channel 4 trying to be "controversial". Maybe they'll have a woman in a bikini giving a speech at Eid or Ramadan. Oh no, silly me, that would offend Muslims. Can't have that can we? Personally I will be watching neither.

permit's hear what the girl has to declare. with the help of selection, i assume C4 will run this to coincide with HM QE2's Christmas Message. The word Christmas might besides be deleted from the mad winterfest we are approximately to indulge outselves in. in reality it predates Christianity which imposed its very own theory device on an already latest and historical pagan pageant. lots of what we would be doing is downright Pagan from the yule tree to the binge eating and over eating and brawling etc. Wishing all of us an somewhat Merry yule and a happy New year.

Well it is called the 'alternative Christmas message.' If you people want the 'regular Christmas message' flick your tellebox to bbc1. I like the Idea by the way, it has been a controversial issue after all, why not let a woman who wears one get a bit of prime time to air her views?

This is really scraping the bottom of the barrel, will we be able to understand her through the muffler. Why should 8% of our country set the rules, I'm sure many of the indigenous population will turn over or turn it off.
