Ask. The people who care about surprising you won't tell you. then ask people who know them. Usually, there's at least one person around who can't keep a secret to save his or her life.

Pump that person for information.

Or . . . be surprised, I guess.

I'd much rather be suprised on Christmas morning, but here's how I do it:

Since my mom usually buys gifts online, and she usually does it through Amazon, I simply click on the recently viewed items, or get hints of what the gift is by looking at the reccomendations. Muahahaha!!! lol, It almost always works. One time, I found out that I got a Full House DVD for my birthday by looking at the reccomendations :)

Just listen. I already know what I'm getting for Christmas and I was even trying to find out. It is so much better not to know, though.

Well, it depends on who is giving..and if they will fall for your tricks! You could say that Billy was getting a such in such for Christmas and I said there was no way I would ever get one...is there? or that you have enough money to go buy a thing-a-ma-bob now so you won't have to wait until Christmas--unless you got me one already--huh?. All in all you should just wait--think of it as practice for your patience level!

i'm so sorry to take heed to about your dogs! i comprehend how troublesome that is once you lose a puppy that you want a lot. perhaps, you could get yet another doggy, and that i'm confident that ought to really help slightly. a sparkling doggy can be a good Christmas recent and ought to help with the loneliness you experience.

whatever you do , do not open any presents early. i was listening to the radio this morning & i heard about a story where a 12 yr. old opened his gift early (after being told not to many times). his mom called the cops, had the cops come to the house & arrest him for petty larceny - be careful, i used to snoop when i was little - but it's not worth getting arrested for!!!!! LOL! Merry Christmas!

If you're adult - ask.
If you're not - unwrapping the parcels on Xmas Day/Xmas Eve (depending on the family's tradition) always worked for me!
