Yes if you love yourself it will give another person even more of a reason to love you. No one wants to listen to someone else verbally/physically put themselves down.
Plus, if you feel negatively towards yourself, you are more likely to feel that way towards others, which would add pressure to a relationship.
Try making a list of positive things about yourself.
I'm sure there are plenty of them.
If not, it's time for change.
Get out there and make yourself happy, that's the first step.

It's a myth that you have to love yourself before someone else can love you. The real truth is that many people learn to love themselves by first being loved by another.
If you never had a loving family, it's more difficult to build healthy self-esteem. Appropriate affection from another person may be the magic touch you need to believe that you are loveable. When someone you admire gives his or her heart to you, it makes you feel cherished and in turn you learn to love yourself.
I know a number of people who were only able to develop self-love after someone who made them feel worthwhile came into their lives. For many, this love blossomed into a healthy and life long relationship. For others, it was an experience that put them on a path to finding their true purpose in life.

I would say yes. If you don't love yourself then you are not a happy person. If you are not happy then how is a relationship going to work.

Well,yes u do because how are u going to not love yourself and love another person. See u have to love yourself to love another.It's not I don't love myself, it's I love myself and another
person.

i say yess. you cant let someone in and love you if you cant love yourself....cuz then you strt questioning them loving you and if ther really do. cuz you wouldnt kno since you cant even love yourself. but there is a fine line between loving yourself and being conceited

I don't know if you have to love your self but you certainly need to like your self. We always know who we are better than any one else. We need to be true to our self and be all we can be to the best of our ability.
