Yes, I believe so. If you have self love, you have self respect, self esteem. All of these qualities need to be in place, how can you love and or respect anyone if you do not know how to love, respect and care for self. God bless****

Definitively, my answer would be "no". But in my opinion, you do need to love yourself-first. I see so many people look for things in other people or look for love in others when they can only get it from God. We need to know that no matter whether we are alone or in a relationship, we have to be able to love ourselves when no one else will-family, friends, whomever.

With God in your life, you can accomplish that feat. Then loving someone else is an addition in your life and not the actual reason you live.

Yes, definitely. Self love is very important. If you don't love yourself, you don't respect yourself and if you have relationships you will tolerate being mistreated and unappreciated. A person who loves them-self can cope with loneliness and does not seek out others to fill the voids in their lives. If you love yourself, you are more confident and more in control of your life.

it might be possible to love someone else with out loving yourself but I think more likely then not, a person that doens't love themselves will have a hard time finding love.

They either may not understand what love is or why someone would love them

or they will allow someone to treat them badly and thinks it's out of love

No, I don't think so. I think love just happens and its not about you not loving yourself. Its all about the souls connecting.
