try cold compresses (an ice pack or a cold, wet cloth), and maybe an anti-histamine, like Claritin or Benedryl.
If that doesn't help reduce the swelling and pain somehwat, she should probably see a doctor. she could have some kind of infection and need antibiotics... until she knows for sure, wash hands constantly with antibacterial soap and don't rub at the eyes!

i agree with Elaine T ... but just quick i understand. Ice pack that eye not directly you dont want to burn the skin with the cold put a thin cloth on top of her eye and then ice pack then tomorrow a little bit of makeup until you can get her to the doctor..

Any time an eye hurts and is swollen or red, you should go to your eye doctor immediately. Her eye needs to be examined to determie the cause of the swelling.

See the doctor - she could have something imbedded in it, or an infection. Ice pack will help with pain until she gets treatment.

Go to the doctor. If it's infected and she waits it might get worse.
