If you could write a book what would it be about?

This is a very interesting question. I think I'd write about a woman who was raised in middle America on a midwest farm in the 60's & '70's and what her life has been like due to her upbringing and her roots and how she has viewed the women's movement, civil rights movement, etc., as a woman, a wife, and a mother. I'd also include her vision for her future as she becomes older and what she feels about retiring, men, music, tv/movies, sports, current events, etc. It could be very interesting if given the right spin and done the right way as there are a lot of women this could pertain to.

I've actually been thinking about writing a defense of James Polk's presidency because I think he was among the best five or six US presidents and he is usually ranked as mediocre by most historians. It would of course be non-fiction.

I've also been thinking about writing the story of the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem and of the birth of Jesus from the perspective of the donkey. This would, of course, be a childrens' story.

I've had a novel stirring around for a long time without a resolution. it is about a woman who marries while still a teen and loses her identity before she actually finds it. As a result, the process of finding herself takes much longer than it does for most people. The book is about her journey to selfhood.

I've had a murder/mystery running about in my brain for some time now...perhaps something involving a modern single mom, and a southern murder that happened 200 years earlier.....
