Why does Shockey get so much bad press?

He's a great player, makes things happen when he finally gets the ball and gets the team pumped up on the sideline.

Yeah, he gets hot headed cause he never gets the ball and he can make the plays that need to be made as we all saw in the game against the Cowboys.

Shockey is probably the best TE in the league. At least he doesnt lead the league in dropped passes like the ultimate hack, Terrell Owens.

He is a great player - but his emotions gt him in trouble. When the team is winning and he is getting his passes, he is pumping up the team, but when they start to lose he starts to complain that he isn't getting his passes and calls people. With that he looks like and *** because he is getting in poeple's faces. Plus the press loves to go after the poeple that talk - especially when the talking doesn't get backed up.

hey shockey:nice call on dallas not being able to beat you guys when you play your best. as i recall the giants had a nice gameplan and actually played well (which was surprising) despite the weak personal fouls the giants seemed committed to commit and DALLAS STILL PWNED YOU.. leave the predicting bit to nostradamus-you blow at it.

as far as getting teammates pumped up on the sidelines- i recall seeing shockey all red-faced and spazzing out and his teammates sitting on the bench completely ignoring his tired act. yeah, that was true inspiration at work. hahahahaahahahahaaaaaha

because He's a great player with a bad boy reputation.
this is also one of the things that makes Him so effective.
a few years ago, the giants had another great tight end with the same reputation except, I dont think I remember Him saying more than three words, in all His years with the team but nobody messed with Mark Bavaro, either.
