Desperado by the Eagles. It's an old song but it's a classic and it's really pretty sung by a girl.

I think you should play HOTEL CALIFORNIA. It has a great guitar part, and also great lyrics. It's a difficult song but it's worth trying.
Here are the lyrics:

On a dark desert highway
Cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas
Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
This could be Heaven or this could be Hell
Then she lit up a candle
And she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say
Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year
You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany twisted
She's got the Mercedes Benz
She's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys
She calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard
Sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember
Some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain
Please bring me my wine
He said
We haven't had that spirit here since 1969
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say
Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
They're livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise
Bring your alibies

Mirrors on the ceiling
Pink champaign on ice
And she said
We are all just prisoners here
Of our own device
And in the master's chambers
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
Relax said the nightman
We are programmed to receive
You can check out any time you like
But you can never leave

I really hope i was helpful. Hey, just let me know by sending a message to me, what song did you choose and how did it go. Bye.

"Here There And Everywhere" by the Beatles..

It is beautiful and easy to sing if you're not a great singer.

The song is good for all tastes in music and crosses all decades.
Everyone likes it.

You can find the sheet music and the lyric at any music store.
You can download it from LimeWire or another music engine or ask for the CD or tape by The Beatles with that song on it. It's easy to find.

It is PERFECT for acoustic guitar. You'll give people goose bumps. I swear.

Good Luck!

I would suggest not singing anything that is too high up there. It might be easier to sing a song that is done by a guy or a female with a lower voice.

Maybe you could try "One" by U2. The chords are really easy.

Check out www.ultimate-guitar.com for tablature. Search around and see what you can find.

Ya, I feel your persure.I`ve got a concer come`in up in one week.
I think an pop or rock song you like you can use olny tone it down a bit.
See maybe a Pink or some other song will work if you got the C-D you can write the words down a remember then.

Best wishes and good luck!

Try something by Sheryl Crow or Jewel. Most of their songs are really easy to play and they usually sound good no matter how your voice sounds.

"Stand By Me"....and when you're not strong, i'll be ur friend, i'll help you carry on.....(musical notes floating)....two musically gifted siblings in my school sang this song for christmas last year, and they we're absolutely terrific, as a music student (not vocally though, haha), i think this song is not too hard, very popular and ppl will love it...as long as you sing and play with feeling and good rhythm..good luck!

wow! I don't know...but I don't think you should do it yet...especially if you haven't mastered guitar yet, because singing and playing at the same time is extrememly difficult...but I wish you luck anyways! :)
