You've gotta play it off and act like it doesn't bother you at all... like in One Tree Hill when the word DYKE was painted on her locker and the next day she came to school with a shirt that said DYKE to show them it didn't bother her

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. Spreading a rumour about her and/or her crew will not help take the spotlight off you. Rather it may make people think the rumour about you is true. Time will tell, the only way a rumour can stop is if another one comes. Try not to worry your pretty head about the rumour. People do all sort of mean things to other people for various reasons including envy.

Hm...sounds like she's very jealous and doesn't like how the guys look at you, rather than her.
I would say that you have her, your friends and a few on-lookers all in one room and you approach her eye to eye and toe to toe point blank tell her that you are straight, have always been, will always be and you thought that SHE would like to know that since SHE has been sending goo-goo (or whatever the term is today) eyes toward you and you don't appreciate HER overtures.
Rather than being defensive, I am suggesting you be offensive. Put HER on the spot. Make HER squirm. Make HER clarify her sexual orientation. Bullys like her are to be dealt with directly, firmly, and with witnesses.
When one bully in my school decided to pick a fight with me, she had her entire crew right behind her, and she struck me in the back. I had had enough, so I swung around and struck her. Because she was standing up on a corner, I missed hitting her in the jaw, but I did hit her shoulder. The entire group of girls were shocked and gasped. They were accustomed to me taking it, but this time I didn't . They never bothered me after that.
Sometimes, that's what it takes. You have to beat them at their own game. Good luck to you!!!

Most guys like girl on girl action. It might actually turn out to work toward your advantage with dating guys. If anything, date a guy and that will prove them wrong. Or start worse rumors about D. Write in a marker in every bathroom stall ( try not to use your own hand-writing) some rumor you made up.. Make it sick and outrageous. But write it in every stall on the back of the door so when you sit down you see it.

When a girl does something like that she is either jealous of you or she's the lesbian. I once read this boy named richard always called this other boy kevin gay when they were in high school, now that they are adults richard is gay!!! These girls have nothing better to do with their lives but say mean things so don't move down to their level just stay away from them and ignore them. eventually this rumor will fade away thats the best thing to do.

By ignoring them.
Your friends know who you are and what you are about. You don't need to explain anything to them.
People who don't know you don't need to know your personal information. Unless they become your friends at which point the above applies.
Be your own sweet self, ignore the nasties, they are only looking for attention. The more you pay attention the more they will torture you and the more they "win". People who do this kind of thing are insecure with themselves. If they can get attention, or if they can make someone feel bad, they think that it will make up for the insecurity. The best revenge really is just to ignore them.

Ignoring is the best thing u can do.. u see if u comment on the rumor, it means ur confirming it.... just forget about it, and if she comes up to your face and tells that your a lesbian tell yeah, you would know... and u know act cool.... girls like that usually have a pdychological disorder, and try to distract people away from her by creating issues about other girls... just ignore.

Rumors don't last long people will get bored and they'll find something new to talk about. In the meantime as difficult as it may be just ignore it, and if anyone says anything to you about it just laugh it off , who cares about these idiots , probably the girl that spread that about you likes girls in that ay herself.

Okay this is how if people start questioning u about it say so why does it matter. if you don't let it bug you they don't find any entertainment out of it and they stop and move on to the next person. if you let them see how much it hurts you then they overall win and they will never stop because they have found your weakness.
