It's spelled deaf not deaff! Deaf people are deaf which means they can't hear anything. However some people can have 10% hearing and still be considered to be deaf. Many deaf people can read lips and read body language very well so just because they can't hear you with their ears doesn't mean they can't hear you at all.

They really are deaf i know ASL and have spent time with deaf people. Why would somebody want to pretent that they are deaf?

I think they're all just messing with us... most deaf people are probably guys like me who just never felt like getting up off their butt so they started acting like they just couldn't hear their gf's or wives.
