I say it's between Georgia, Lousiana, Mississippi, and Florida because they have better accents and they have better food. Texas is overrated.

I agree w/ most of those answers, but is Florida considered "southern"?? I know it's the southern most state, but the people from Florida that I know don't consider themselves to be "southern". Just a thought!!

Don't forget South Carolina. We have great food, too, great accents, and friendly people. In general, the South is a pretty good place to be!
