Our's at work did, star fell on me, woke me up a bit, your house may have a damp problem, if you've a White ceiling, try using White bluetac (yes they make a White version), that does the trick for normal (non load bearing dec's), else thumb tacks, a dot of paint hides the holes when it's time to take them down.

i know! Ive even used electrical tape to try and keep mine up and all its resulted in is the paint being torn off the ceiling! some one should invent a "Christmas tape" guaranteed to handle southern hemisphere heat and humidity and northern hemisphere chill during December!

We haven't put ours up yet. We usually do it on the 13th, 12 days before Xmas. Try using brown tape. It's stronger then regular sellotape.

Christmas decorations are designed to fall down when you least expect it! And not jsut decorations: there is a giant inflatable snowman near where I live but the residents of the house he sits outside have failed to inflate him properly and so he sits there rather hunched looking like he is about to be sick. Poor Frosty :(

lol ya my family has lots of lights in my house but the tape is no use (expecaly on wallpaper) you should try to go to a hard ware store and ask for the sticky stuff to put on the walls that might work ! good luck
