I'm 5'5 and recently gained some weight... which I'm working on losing. I have no jeans that fit me well though, and need help finding some. I have wide hips and a wide butt and thicker thighs, but the rest of my legs are thin from the thighs down. My waist is small, but I don't wear my pants on my waist.. I wear them slightly below, otherwise I look like an old mom (I'm 24). Where or where can I buy pants? My biggest problem is that pants are always WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too long on me and the thighs and seat are often tight but the waist it too big making my pants fall down too low, and I end up pulling my pants up all the time. Am I going to just have to see a tailor? Ladies.. help a girl out??

I wear a 9 to a 13 (9s usually in more expensive brands, and 11 or 13 in cheapo brands)

I am the same way. I have found some great jeans at Gap. They have 3 different lengths, several rises (dont go for ultra low rise, just normal low rise should be plenty), several rinses and styles...

Okay, the name is decieving, but the 'long and lean' fit at GAP fit fabulously for those of us with wide hips and a small waist. You'll have to try them on to see if they work with you (but this is true for any pair anyone suggests.)
I'm 5'1" and the normal length was too long on me, but might fit you fine - additionally, they do have shorter sizes available to order if they're still too long. They're the only ones I found that don't need to be pulled up all the time.
Edit: Oh, do not get the skinny jeans. They are for people with no flesh on their bones.

I am built the same way... and after years of having the hardest time finding Jeans... I started buying Lucky jeans. They fit me perfect. I have bigger thighs, and butt, but a smaller waist and legs... I know what you mean. My mom has the same trouble, I have her hooked on Lucky Jeans too. You should try them! They are a little expensive, but well worth the perfect fit. It's all we wear now, and they last forever!! Good luck!

Try Paige Premium Denim Laurel Canyon. I have a similar shape and they fit really well everywhere and they don't gap in the waist. My other favorite jeans are Seven for All Mankind Stretch Flare and Citizens of Humanity Ingrid Stretch. Good luck!

make sure the leg of the jeans is "short"... a lot of jean makers make them in Short, Regular, and Long lengths.
also, try Old Navy, Torrid, and maybe Lane bryant. they may make jeans that fit better in the waist/stomach area, but still are "trendy". for example i saw a pair of size 14 Skinny Jeans at Old navy, and they seemed pretty trendy. also, jeans w/ some lycra or stretch may also be better for u, it'll fit snugger at the waist/hip. good luck

You didn't say what size you are in, but if you are in a 14 or above you can go to Lane Bryant, and they have great jeans. They also have petite sizes...good luck
