I am 5'8", and completely happy. There are taller women, but I feel petite around them.. and around shorter women, I feel like a behemoth. So I get the best of both worlds. :)

I am 5'8" and I have always thought that I would rather be 5'9" although I cannot give you a reason. My father is 5'10" and my son is 5'11" and I am not interested in either of those heights. In general Americans are becoming taller over the last few generations although the reasons for this are not clear. The weight of Americans has drifted in one of two directions either thinner and thinner or heavier and heavier. The present generation is the first in the history of the United States that is not expected to live as long as their parents. Back to height. Interesting question. I do not know why I have always thought that I should be 5'9". Before minoxidil was available for hair loss I had a pharmacist make it and I used it and it worked but I stopped using it and now I am bald. Why did I stop? I really did not care if I was bald and I did not want to apply something to my scalp every day to prevent it. I guess we each have curious ideas about what we look like and what we should look like. I am not able to increase my height and perhaps that is why I wear cowboy boots. Or is it due to my mother. Hmm.

Sure! I claim to be 5'4", but I'm probably a little shorter than that. I have to use a step ladder for just about everything, but I cant do anything about it, so why stress about it?
