derailed can mean two things, one literal and one in thought.
1-literally, off rails, such as a train being "derailed" or removed from the tracks.
2-"derailed" from a thought or such. your plans could be derailed, your idea could be derailed. basically, you get off track in a state of mind way.

Derasiled means to get off the track. To get off your original plan and end up going in the wrong direction.
