i've seen alot of hatin on number 85, can't figure out why, the guy plays his *** off, and wants to help his team alot of people outside of cincinnati doesn't see what all he does on and off the field, so my question is, for the non believers why do you feel chad johnson isn't the best or one of the best recievers in the nfl?

I can't think of many that are better. Marvin Harrison is the only one that comes to mind. Chad Johnson is cool too. When they had home field advantage in the playoffs last year, he went out and hung out with the tailgaters before the game. Name another sports guy that does that!

he is unquestionably one of the best right now--top 5 if not top 2 or 3.

maybe people doubt him because he plays for cincy and there are lots of non-believers in the bengals just due to their sh!t history. but they've been pretty good the past couple of seasons and are just going to improve given their players keep off the crime blotter.

also, people hate brash personalities without knowing the person. c. johnson does seem to be a real stand-up guy but when he showboats it automatically makes people think the worst. and remember this is a football league that doesn't stand for celebrating nice plays, touching the quarterback whatsoever even though this is supposedly a man's game, won't allow coaches to wear a suit on the sidelines, and frowns on uneven socks or shirts not tucked in. so lame on the part of the nfl.

plus there are plenty of ignorant bastids out there who just don't know too much and sound authoritative when critiquing players. they need to be ignored. a perfect example is the answerer a couple before me-"soccer coach" whatever, dude.

He can be a little annoying sometimes... Like that day he got on his knees in front of some guy (it was that guy who was denying kinship with him) on the field after a game. I don't know what that was about...Or like when he wears that grill...Or the fact that he admits not having his parents during his childhood but has 3-4 kids himself that he doesn't see regularly. He admitted this in SI!!

He doesn't need to do all that stupid stuff, acting like a clown, his spectacular catches say all that needs to be said.

That said, I think his stupid antics were important to give the Bengals some extra publicity when they were coming out of the BUNGals phase, and I like that the Bengals have multiple good wr options so that when chad draws the double, here comes tj or chris or that one guy (I 4get his name) to make a catch.

If Ocho Cinco would learn how to shut the F**k up and just play the game like a gentleman, he would get a lot more respect. How many times is he going to "guarentee" a victory only to get embarrassed by an organization that by all rights shouldn't be able to beat them. Why doesn't he have anything to say after those games? F**k that guy!!!!!!!

hes had a good season in back to back games he has caught for more than 200 yards and 5 TD's between the two

if my memory serves me correct...thats pretty good+ he helps his fellow wide recievers by drawing defenders and opening up big plays for TJ HOUDSHMANZADA

"Ocho Cinco" is fantastic. He's my favorite WR in all of football.
He's is by far and away one of the best WR's in football.
Not to mention he cracks me up.
I love his ESPN commercials!
