As a Canadian I tend to totally 100% agree with them. We should be bringing both the American Soldiers and Canadian Soldiers home!

LEt me tell you this. It is a sad sad story when a mother will teach her daughter that she oughta hate a perfect stranger. That's absolutely true. And how in the world can the words that natalie said send so many people so over the edge? To me, an outsider from australia, the critisism handed down to the band following these comments has been nothing short of pathetic. So they made a few comments, they have an opinion, as ALL of us do. Because they are famous they are not allowed to express their opinion? I think it's great that at least some people living in the united states can see that the country is going up **** creek and it's taking the rest of the world with it. Doesn't the Bush administration remember vietnam? No, it seems that amidst all the self absorbed bullshit that now defines the states the people have forgotten how to think about others and not just themselves. I happen to agree with the comments, but that has nothing to do with it. Regardless, the dixie chicks were just partaking in political protest which dates back to and before the likes of bob dylan and neil young, the finest two songwriters of all time. Get over it.

Im not ready to make nice. I would like to never hear or see Natalie Maimes ever again. The two sisters are great. I believe they had little choice but to follow Natalie and her idiot father ,the bands manager. You would agree, you are not from Dixie! The dixie chics do not represent the Dixie region of the US nor the majority of the US. They represent hollywood and the liberals in the entertainment bussines. They should understand this and be content with less than half the success they formerly had. They are not wrong, just ignorant of Americans true feelings.

I hate the Dixie Chicks. Never before have people with less talent managed to expand their fanbase so rapidly by making stupid, obvious, self-serving comments about their country.

If they made some serious observation or offered some level-headed discussion or criticism of the Bush administration, then I'd be fans. But just hopping up on a stage and saying "BUSH SUXORS!!!" to get the foreign crowd cheering - every band has done that since the beginning of time. It's the classic "Women are smarter than men, right women? Back me up on this!" pandering.

They aren't intelligent. They don't even make good music. They wanted a controversy to boost record sales, they got it. Stupid, gullible liberals (e.g. Michael Moore fans) really think they're changing the world by listening to grating country-rock. You go.

We talked for days with Dan earlier putting pen to paper, and he incredibly helped get interior our heads and positioned those emotions out. And as quickly as we had this track achieved, it freed us as much as do the remainder of the album without that burden." * Martie commented: "i found out I had suppressed plenty with regard to the dying probability. all of it got here flooding back in the approach of penning this track. i think of all of us found out in simple terms how painful it were for us." * Natalie reported that the Dixie Chicks "tried to jot down with regard to the incident some situations, yet [they have been given] nervous that [they are] being too preachy or too victimized or too nonchalant."

Agree.... I love the Dixie Chicks and thought that the whole controversy w/ them was takin way too far. They should have the right to say what they want. Alot of other ppl make fun of the President every day and nobody seems to care about that.

The response from reflexive conservatives to try to stifle all dissent (even the sprit of dissent) was outrageous but I would have hoped that Natalie (et. al.) would have taken the high road and let this go.

I love the song and what they stand for. And weather one likes them or not, the beauty of Freedom of Speech is a amazing thing, and its a shame how the country radio stations have responded to their opinions.
