Why is it now 'funny' to mock feminists, (such as Borat does)? Why is it that more people are defending Eastern cultures? Is the Western society weary of the complaing and ranting of feminists? Has feminism cried "Wolf" too many times?

FYI: I'm not a feminist. In fact, I often disagree with feminists, especial the radicals, (such as NOW).

Because, real women were intelligent enough to reject the feminist ideals. Ask yourself, as a woman, if you are willing to give up your sexual identity and truly be treated by a man in the exact same way we treat one another? Does any woman really want to HAVE to spend eight or ten hours a day lifting 100 lb boxes into a truck or get fired if they can't? Being equal means exactly that: either women do the exact same job as men without any special treatment or considerations, or they get fired, just like a man.
The feminist movement wanted equality with special considerations. They wanted women to be in executive positions that paid them six figure incomes, but failed to mention that true equality meant that for every one woman that was put in that type of position, thousands of other women in blue-collar jobs would pay for her being there by having to do the exact same job as a man regardless of the physical requirements, or lose her job to someone that could do it. Getting special treatment and requiring anything less isn’t true equality.

Rights and responsibilities go hand in hand. For the most part, since the beginning of the feminist movement forty some years ago, women have been demanding more rights but have been reluctant to accept any of the responsibilities associated with these rights. Also, they want to be treated as unequals still in all of the ways they used to be which work in their favour, but only in those ways. So they still want the guy to open the door for them, buy them dinner, shower them with gifts, etc. etc., et all. True feminism doesn't exist and never has, and so it's a mockery and people mock it.

Feminsm has made good on none of its promises and has succeeded in make women miserable and bitter. Now that this is becoming more apparent to the general populace (it's been hidden as long as possible by the media), it's becoming the butt of many a joke. I don't find it amusing at all...the result in the family unit within this country and the with the children in such families has been devistating. That's nothing to laugh about.
Edit - wendy g...you're sounding bitter, as usual. Women who shun feminism are much happier with their lives, in general...why don't you give it a try?

Because of the utter and unscientific nonsense perpetrated in academia by difference and gender feminists. These types are disconnected from reality and fair game for those who mock them.

Obviously you don't get the movie "Borat" at all. Yes, the CHARACTER Borat is making fun of feminists (and objectifying women in general) but the MOVIE is actually a satire of the kind of backwards, anti-feminist ideas of people like him. The CHARACTER of Borat is really what's being made fun of in that movie, and his outdated, wrong-headed, misogynist ideas. It's HILARIOUS to me when people think Feminists hate that movie, when feminists really LOVE IT because it makes fun of dumb, backward jerks like the character he portrays.
Oh yeah, and why has the voice of feminism "weakened?" I would imagine it's because of women like you, who benefit from the movement while putting it down. (So, rejoice, I know you're very glad about that.)

There are people who think women are now equal so it isn't needed and sometimes the movement become extreme and thus a ready target for parody.

It's another market game. By continuing to portray women as insignificant baby-makers and fashion addicts (and black people as violent lazy drug-addicts) rich white guys can contine to do things their way.
I don't think borat's really your enemy. The lobbyists for the owners of the guys who own the rights to the film are.
