The judge must have ordered her to rehab as a condition of her probation. Since she skipped out, or was kicked out of rehab, a warrant went out for her arrest, and she was soon picked up and returned to jail on probation violations. She should have a public defender on her case. Try to find out who that is. She should have a hearing, and may have an opportunity to bond out depending on what her charges are. Whatever happens, encourage her to finish rehab. It sounds like she needs it. Good luck!

I'm not sure where you are but in Canada, you could write her a letter. Also if you have someone willing to help you, try doing a 3-way call. That way they get the collect call. That's what I did when my husband was in jail. For the rest, find a copy of her release order and that what will tell you exactly what her conditions were. If she wasn't ordered to drug rehab then she isn't breaching anything. Is Legal Aid an option? Just hold on and hopefully everything will work itself out. Good Luck.

It's one thing to stick by someone when they're going through rehab to get their life back together. It's quite another to stick by someone who decided to be irresponsible, miss a class, and then make it worse by taking more drugs. This may sound harsh, but the best thing you can do is put this woman in the rearview mirror and drive away as quickly as you can.

As far as an attorney is concerned, by law, she is eligible for a public defender.
But are you sure this is really the woman you want to marry and have kids with? Drug and alcohol dependancy are inherited traits.

I don't know that there is anything you can do to stop her from going to prison. I believe jails have visitation.
