i would like to start a non profit, but i need a mission statement in order to get started. any advice?

Writing a mission statement is as easy as inserting your goal, your intentions, and how you hope to accomplish them into a small paragraph or 2-3 sentences. For instance, you could use something like this, an example of how you would write a mission statement to distribute food to the homeless.
The goal of Feeding the Homeless is to distribute hot meals to the homeless population in the town of Washington D.C. Volunteers will prepare the food, drive the vans around to distribute the food, as well as serve people in the soup kitchen to accomplish this goal. It is our goal to end hunger in Washington D.C. one mouth at a time.

what would your nonprofit do?
i mean you have to know the goal.
do you give blankets to homeless people?
do you teach inner city boys how to break dance?
i mean what are you going to do?
