I have actually tried it, and it was quite cheap looking and feeling....even had a weird smell to it...i tried the customize your own palette with eyeshadow and lip gloss alogn with blush...it's sitting on the bottom of the makeup case...
Try AVON I love it so much, I actually started to sell it!!!

I bought around 20 items at their website few months ago. I was prepared to see some junk because I don't believe $1 will bring any good quality makeup. It turned out the whole experience wasn't so bad at all.
The eye Shadow is easy to apply, easy to blend. It works better than Avon, almay, covergirl eye shadow. But it is not long lasting though.
I bought several different kinds of lip gloss, one lip gloss actually was impressive. The name is New Moisture Care Lip Color, it works like a liquid lip stain. It gives my lips real natural color (I bought cherry tart). I actually use it a lot.
Don't bother with any eye liners, no one will keep them.
I didn't buy any foundation or blush, to me, I only use high quality foundation.
So, try it. Even you don't like it, you won't waste too much.

i got tricked into buying some.. a friend told me it was a new line of makeup at bloomingdale's and they were selling everything for $1 for only a limited time.. so i bought like $25 worth of stuff. later i find out that it's a scam and everything is $1 all the time.. so i was kinda annoyed. but since it's so cheap i just figured i'd get it shipped to me and see how the quality would be.
i've been waiting for like 3 weeks now and no sign of it.. =T. it does have some good reviews in real magazines like Allure, even Oprah, etc. =T

It's not bad for 1.00. The eyeshadow lasts all day & the lip glosses are nice. The eyeliner smudges really bad, but then so does MAC

e.l.f is cheap and not bad. It's not the best but if I needed something quick I would use it.
